I'm a professional musician who had played on a Selmer Recital for years. I thought I needed something slightly different and purchased a Selmer Signature "Evolution" from a different shop. Very long story short, thanks to B. Corbin, I'm back on a Selmer Recital! "Evolution" this time. Even though it's an Evolution, I'm still careful to break in the instrument gradually, which has been tough because it WANTS to be played! I've forced myself to use a timer. Technique is so smooth and easy; tuning is solid; and tone/timbre possesses an evenness across the registers, due in large part to 1) B. Corbin hand-selecting the right instruments, and 2) B. Corbin doing the hard work setting up the instrument so that it performs meeting its highest potential.
Their business functions above reproach! A great husband-wife team of ACTUAL clarinet players and good people who know how to serve musicians from beginner to pro. I recommend them without reservation.
