A magnificent example of a Yamaha CSVR Bb clarinet, this instrument was owned by a former Yamaha Artist who had it voiced and tuned personally by the great Tomoji Hirakata of Yamaha Artist Services in New York City. We cleaned and oiled the body, polished the keys, new corks, some key fitting as necessary to quiet the mechanism, and replaced all of the worn pads with premium leather as well as new bumpers as needed. We also regilded the logos for a nice cosmetic touch. While restoring this instrument, we were careful to preserve the tone hole and mechanical modifications by Tomoji that improved tuning and voicing. This includes various materials such as cork and epoxy used to lower sharp pitches, and a permanent tuning ring installed in the bell socket. While the ring can be removed, we found it helped with long tube intonation and is extremely stable, with no wobble. 

In my opinion, this is the finest Yamaha CSVR that I have ever played, and we're able to offer it at over $1000 from new!
