One of the smallest and lightest double cases in the world, made exclusively for us by Reed & Squeak in Great Britain! Offering exceptional protection for the instruments and space for instruments, music, reeds, mouthpieces, barrels, and accessories, this is the ideal lightweight case for the busy clarinetist. It can be carried by the attached handle, or as a shoulder carry or backpack style using the detachable comfort backpack straps.
Made with ECO-Leather or durable Polyester (special order) on the outside and a soft protective luxury velour fabric enhanced by polyethylene padding inside. Don't be fooled, the instruments inside are perfectly protected without risk of bending keys as any extra force or impact is distributed. With a padded pocket inside there is sufficient space for storage and music. There is an added external pocket that can be left empty for a more compact case or used for additional storage. Use the padded inserts to choose your unique layout inside. Instruments can be stored with bells attached or detached. Ideal for multiple combinations of instruments. I recently lost multiple clarinet cases to mold due to bad storms that hit Hawaii this past year. I was wanting to get a new case and I saved up enough money to purchase the Reed & Squeak Compact Double Case with the hopes that I can have more space to practice dehumidifying efforts to preserve my horns. The case I received has been great! There is plenty of space for my instruments, gear, and for dehumidifying packets. I am pleased with the material and structure of the case as it feels durable. I also like how it has removable backpack straps and the ability to have it switch to a should strap if needed. Brian provided me the case in a timely manner and I love it!
This case fits my Bb, Eb and has TONS of room for all my reed cases, iPad, music, and everything else I could possibly need. The backpack straps are padded and comfy. The padding in between your instruments is covered in velvet and is nice and thick there are moveable dividers that help you personalize where you want all the pieces of your clarinets to go. The Eco leather is soft and supple and makes it difficult to tell the difference from animal hide. It is also substantially less than other double cases in its league. Make sure to give these a look for sure.
